Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has expanded its container terminal operations at the Port of Kobe, according to Port Strategy. The company signed a lease agreement for four berths located at the expanded South Pier.
This strategic move by MOL is situated within the Port Island (Phase 2) area of the Port of Kobe. The expansion aims to strengthen the company's operational capabilities.
The agreement specifically targets an increase in container terminal capacity. This development is expected to enhance the efficiency and throughput of container handling at the port.
Port Strategy reported that the lease agreement underscores MOL's commitment to improving its logistics infrastructure. The additional berths will support the growing demands of container shipping.
