WEC Lines is expanding its intra-Spain service to include the Portuguese port of Setúbal, according to Container News. This strategic move will see Setúbal serving as a transshipment hub.
The port of Setúbal will facilitate connections with WEC Lines' existing North European network. This integration aims to streamline logistics and improve connectivity for the carrier.
In conjunction with this expansion, WEC Lines will also replace Castellón with Huelva as a port call within the service. These adjustments reflect a re-evaluation of the service's route.
Following these modifications, the service will be rebranded as ISS-PT. The new name signifies the inclusion of Portugal in its operational scope, as reported by Container News.
The ISS-PT service rotation will be maintained by two vessels. Each vessel has a capacity of 870 TEUs, ensuring consistent service delivery for the updated route.
