Descartes Systems Group recently introduced an AI agent coordination platform aimed at automating intricate logistics workflows. The new platform is designed to integrate across different applications, supply chain partners, and existing business systems.
The company unveiled this new offering, named the Descartes Agent Control Plane, during its Innovation Forum held in Chicago. This platform represents a significant step in leveraging artificial intelligence for logistics operations.
The Descartes Agent Control Plane is built upon the foundation of the Descartes Global Logistics Network (GLN). This underlying network provides the infrastructure necessary for the AI agents to function effectively.
The primary purpose of the platform is to enable AI agents to coordinate multiple tasks and processes. This coordination capability is expected to streamline operations and enhance efficiency within the logistics sector.
