HD Hyundai Vietnam Shipyard, situated in Khanh Hoa, is planning a substantial $100 million expansion. This initiative is designed to boost the shipyard's annual production capacity, according to Baird Maritime.

The expansion aims to increase the shipyard's output from its current level of 15 ships per year to 23 ships annually by 2030. This represents a significant uplift in shipbuilding capabilities.

Following the initial increase to 23 ships, the shipyard has further ambitions to eventually reach an annual production of 30 vessels. This long-term goal underscores a strategic growth trajectory.

Baird Maritime reported that the shipyard has secured its production site through 2066. This long-term site tenure provides a stable foundation for the planned expansion and future operational continuity.
