Ethiopian Cargo recently commenced a new freighter service, establishing a direct air cargo link between China and Ethiopia. This development is intended to support and enhance trade activities between Asia and Africa.
The new service operates between Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in China and Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in Ethiopia. This route provides a dedicated cargo channel for goods moving between the two regions.
The inaugural flight for this new freighter service took place on August 28. The launch signifies an expansion of Ethiopian Cargo's network and its commitment to facilitating international trade.
The primary objective of this new connection is to strengthen the commercial ties between China and Ethiopia, as well as the broader Asian and African markets. It offers increased capacity for freight transport.
According to Air Cargo News, the new service is expected to contribute to the efficiency and speed of cargo delivery, benefiting businesses involved in import and export between the continents.
