Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) recently held a naming ceremony for its second 24,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel container vessel, according to Bunkerspot. The vessel, named OOCL Grace, represents a significant addition to the company's fleet.
The ceremony took place at the shipyard of Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS). This event highlights the ongoing collaboration between OOCL and its shipbuilding partners.
Peter Pan, Director of Trades and Member of the Executive Committee of OOCL, spoke at the ceremony. He stated that OOCL maintains its dedication to expanding, greening, and digitalising its fleet, even amidst a complex market environment.
The Bunkerspot report noted that the delivery of OOCL Grace and its sister vessels is expected to further support OOCL's strategic objectives. These new vessels are crucial for the company's future operations and environmental goals.
