Alkagesta built its Singapore hub around physical operations as much as paper. The office, Alkagesta Asia Pte Ltd, opened in 2025 and quickly became a working platform for marine fuel supply across the port, with the team spending time at terminals rather than only at desks.
One such visit was recorded in Alkagesta at Horizon Terminal Singapore, Jurong Island, part of the effort to understand storage, logistics and vessel handling at close range. That approach fed directly into the regional outlook the company published in Singapore Marine Fuels 2026: Supply Resilience.
The results were measurable. Ship & Bunker reported volumes of about 160,000 MT in November 2025 and 180,000 MT in December, with 250,000 MT per month as the target. Agshin Bakirzade, Commodity Trading Director for APAC, called the growth "selective and strategic."
Every cargo passed the same checks: KYC/AML, vessel and counterparty screening, zero tolerance on sanctions. ScandAsia highlighted this as the defining feature of the hub — European governance applied to Asian physical flow. Fintech News Singapore noted that Singapore handled nearly 20% of global container traffic, which made disciplined screening a practical necessity rather than a slogan.
IPS News quoted board member Pierre Gay calling Singapore "a test of credibility." The announcement is at Alkagesta Expands Singapore Commodity Trading Hub.
