La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) has finalized contracts for the procurement of new crane equipment. This development precedes the commencement of construction activities for the new Ravano Terminal, as reported by Maritime Professional.
The agreements include the supply of four ship-to-shore cranes. These cranes are essential for handling cargo directly between vessels and the terminal, enhancing operational efficiency.
Additionally, LSCT has secured contracts for eighteen yard cranes. These cranes play a crucial role in managing containers within the terminal's storage areas, optimizing space and movement.
According to Maritime Professional, these acquisitions are a strategic step for LSCT as it prepares for significant infrastructure expansion with the new terminal project.
The new equipment is expected to support the increased capacity and operational demands of the Ravano Terminal once it becomes operational.
