AD Ports Group has successfully finalised its acquisition of CLI, a Brazilian terminal operator, according to Baird Maritime. The transaction was valued at $835 million, marking a significant expansion for AD Ports Group into the South American market.
The acquisition brings two agri-bulk terminals into the AD Ports Group's operational network. These terminals are key assets, having collectively managed a substantial volume of 17 million tonnes of cargo during 2025.
Baird Maritime reported that AD Ports Group intends to leverage this acquisition to establish new trade routes. These routes are designed to connect Brazilian agricultural exports directly with Khalifa Port.
Furthermore, the strategic initiative aims to link these Brazilian exports with the Abu Dhabi Food Hub. This move is expected to enhance global supply chain efficiencies for agricultural commodities.
The integration of CLI's terminals into AD Ports Group's operations underscores a strategic effort to expand its global footprint and diversify its logistics capabilities, particularly in the agri-bulk sector.
