Four shipping companies from Sweden, Norway, and Canada have ordered four new dual-fuel LNG vessels, as reported by Bunkerspot. This latest investment increases the total number of ships in the Vinga series to 26.

The announcement was made by Furetank on August 28, coinciding with the naming ceremony for Fure Vasa. The Fure Vasa is a newly constructed Vinga vessel that recently arrived in Europe from the China Merchants Jinling Shipyard.

Bunkerspot noted that two of the newly ordered vessels will be owned by FureBear. FureBear is a joint venture established between Canada's Algoma Central Corporation and Sweden's Furetank.

Furetank, a Swedish shipping company, developed the Vinga series in collaboration with FKAB Marine Design. The expansion of the Vinga series highlights continued investment in dual-fuel LNG technology within the shipping industry, according to Bunkerspot.
