EcoVadis is one of the world's most widely used providers of business sustainability ratings, assessing companies across four pillars: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The evidence-based assessment evaluates policies, reporting and transparency against internationally recognised sustainability standards, and the Committed Badge reflects performance across those criteria while providing a framework for continued improvement.
The recognition sits alongside the trader's broader ESG commitments, which include ISCC and CORSIA certification for sustainable aviation fuel trading, access to EU ETS allowances through its carbon desk, and investment in environmental research initiatives such as a Clean Caspian oil-spill response startup.
For a company whose commodity trading activity spans fuel oil, gasoil and other refined products, sustainability ratings have become an increasingly practical concern: counterparties, banks and charterers increasingly screen suppliers on ESG criteria before entering contracts.
