AFRY, a Swedish engineering, design, and advisory company, has secured a key technical advisory role for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) development in Vietnam, Offshore Energy reported.
The project, with a capacity of 1.5 GW, is an LNG-to-power initiative. This development is expected to significantly contribute to the expansion of LNG infrastructure in Southeast Asia.
According to Offshore Energy, the scope of the project includes an integrated floating LNG (FLNG) terminal. This terminal will be a crucial component of the overall infrastructure.
Additionally, the development will feature a gas-fired power plant. This power plant will utilize the LNG supplied by the terminal to generate electricity.
AFRY's involvement as a technical advisor highlights its expertise in large-scale energy infrastructure projects. The firm will provide essential guidance throughout the development.
