Propeller Fuels has acquired Shipergy, a bunker trading company that was established in 2022 as part of Signal Group. This acquisition is set to bolster Propeller Fuels' operations, allowing it to concentrate on orthodox, value-added bunkering services.
The transaction includes the transfer of Shipergy's assets to Propeller Fuels, encompassing its trading operations, existing client relationships, and proprietary technology. This integration became effective on October 1.
Daniel Rose, a co-founder of Shipergy, will transition from the trading business following the acquisition. He will operate outside the group to lead maritime technology development.
Mr. Rose's new role will involve overseeing the advancement of products from both companies. This includes BunkerBridge, developed by Propeller Fuels, and Energy Beacon, a solution created by Shipergy.
